I am not sure how you landed on this page, but it indicates you might have read on one of my blogs. I genuinely attempt to create content worth reading, and I hope you enjoy it.

Since you came to my page I will reveal the truth about this website; it is mainly created to earn money. I am currently unemployed as I got severely hit by burn out. It has caused muscles pains, depression and anxious feelings, and I am going to doctors for treatment and therapy. However; I am unable to have a full position of work. Instead I have to rely on the government etc, which I really hate. I want earn my own money and decided to try earning money on internet.

Of course; it’s not just earning money for living I need; but I am also engaged with girl in completely opposite direction of this continent; in Turkey.

And you might wonder so far away; how did you meet your love of your life. I guess my reply would be during my Ma thesis in Istanbul, but I have also met her in Germany, France and Italy (I know we did wrong according to Turkish culture meeting before marriage and without parents or family present, but it’s hard not meeting the one you love. And I do apologize to her family for causing additional distrust to us. But in my defense; we are young and in strong love for each other. And a friend was always present; we were not completely alone at any time in Paris or other places we visited together)

If you want help us get married I appreciate any help or advice. Two central questions to me is: does anyone know the Turkish culture better than me? Does anyone have the time to educate me in gifts, traditions etc. I kind of feel embarrassed asking the love of my life for details, and each time we talk it seems to be more and more tradition she forgot mention previous.

Previously I learned it is often given gold to the lady you are to marry. Does anyone know what kind of gold, how much etc? I really don’t know much. Of course she mentioned I could give this a bit after the wedding.

Another problem is that I didn’t get the chance to talk her father before I got ill. Does anyone have advice on how I should behave, what I should talk etc? I assume I should be myself of course. But as my parents might be unable to come with me to talk them I might need advice on strategies.

And as last; it would be nice if people that have been donating or giving advices or simple wishing us the best want to write wishes or prays for our marriage you could mail it to kentaki@enlightenedindividual.com.  You could use the same email to tell me about Turkish wedding and traditions.

Another point I want to ask is how much should I save for a nice wedding including closest friends and family? I might want to donate to good causes if donations and advertising on my web pages goes well. I do not promise to donate your money, but if I earn more than I need I would like to help others having worse situation than me as well. - Advertising will of course not be added unless I manage create a good enough site for it.

I also want to add; I didn’t create this webpage just to earn money; I also created it in my pursuit of improving my health, my social skills, my health etc. So what I write is often tried by myself; it is not just words, but an attempt for me to change myself and improve myself as a human being. And if you find some of what I write something you want to try I hope you will do well in your pursuit of happiness and a better life.
